Living here in New Mexico an artist cannot help being overwhelmed by the unique combination of vast horizons, history, and culture - this is a land where visual stimulation grows in extreme proportions. I have come to understand why artists like Georgia OKeefe and R.C. Gorman called New Mexico home and incorporated the rich colors and themes of this land in their work. Drenched in this combination of visual stimulation, my surroundings become my muse. My work ranges from mixed media, assemblage and abstract to pieces depicting women, animals and religious themes, all ranging from insightful to whimsical.
